Whilst not open to the general public, we at LRHC are very happy to extend an invitation to individuals and groups who have a particular interest in taking a look at our collection.
It was therefore a pleasure to welcome the first group tour of the Summer. Members of Taunton Round Table pitched up on a sunny evening this week to take a look at our Land Rover show barn and hear a tale or two about our acquisition of various vehicles on display. As ever, the fully tooled up SAS Land Rovers had a special appeal to the guys, along with old favourites such as our tracked Cuthbertson and Armoured Media transport.
As ever, we avoided getting overly geeky, but were on hand to field any questions of a more technical nature concerning the mark generally or specific exhibits on show.
Martin who arranged the tour told us that; ”in so far as ‘boys with toys’ goes, tonight was as good as it gets. To stroll around with those who conceived and brought together this great collection is so much more personal than many a traditional museum.’
Kind words, but we also recognise that many of us had a beer in hand while strolling around the barn which may also have added to the conviviality of the occasion.
If you have a social or special interest group in the South West who would like to drop by, you are most welcome to make contact with us.
